dollar value vt of a certain car model that is t years old is given by the following exponential function. \[v(t)= 27,500(0.90^t)\] Find the initial value of the car and the value after 13 years. Round your answers to the nearest dollar as necessary.

@FaiqRaees

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Take t = 0 then take t =13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[v(0)=27,500(0.90^{13})\] like this?

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

No v(0) = 27500 (0.90)^0 v(13) = 27500 (0.90)^13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

v(0)= 27500 v(13)=6990.12875 ?

OpenStudy (photon336):

Just to confirm. well just from looking at it. the price of the car is only going to get lower as time goes on. \[2.75*10^{4}(0.90)^{t} = v(t)\] \[2.75*10^{4}(0.90)^{0} = v(0) |x^{0} =1 | 2.75*10^{4}\]

OpenStudy (photon336):

also you're asked to round your answer to the nearest dollar. so it would be 6990
