if you're good at factoring the quadratic equation then i'll suggest you to factor each equation to find out which one wll provide you the solution *5* OR replace x with given solution (5) if the equation states the true statement then that equation will be the correct answer

well i'm not sure if she is using the correct method or not.. replace x with 5 \[\large\rm x^2+5x+25=0\] \[\large\rm \color{red}{(5)}^2+5\color{red}{(5)}+25=0\] simplify the left side if both sides are equal then yes D is the answer.
in order to say 5 is the solution of x^2+5x+25 left side should be equal to right hand side whn we replace x with 5
