The graph shows the relationship between the number of months different students practiced tennis and the number of matches they won: The title of the graph is Tennis Matches. On x axis, the label is Number of Months of Practice. On y axis, the label is Number of Matches Won. The scale on the y axis is from 0 to 22 at increments of 2, and the scale on the x axis is from 0 to 12 at increments of 2. The points plotted on the graph are the ordered pairs 0, 2 and 1, 5 and 2, 8 and 3, 9 and 4, 10 and 5, 12 and 6, 13 and 7, 16 and 8,17 and 9, 18 and 10,20. A straight line is drawn joining the ordered pairs 0, 3.3 and 2, 6.8 and 4, 10 and 6, 13.5 and 8, 17 and 10, 20.5. Part A: What is the approximate y-intercept of the line of best fit and what does it represent? (5 points) Part B: Write the equation for the line of best fit in the slope-intercept form and use it to predict the number of matches that could be won after 13 months of practice Show your work and include the points used to calculate the slope. (5 points)
is this a test?
no i just ask questions to challenge people
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd no i just ask questions to challenge people \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) so u dont need help..?
do i get 5 points for finding the right answer? ;)
and can u attach a pic of the graph
sure how
You press attach file.
There should be a button that says `attach file` so just click on it and upload the pic
The human calculator is correct.
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Trickjoker The human calculator is correct. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yea B)

flvs?
How you know lol
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd How you know lol \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) I go there too and.. that's a test, and we cant help with those
She's a human calculator.
I know i already did that test
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd I know i already did that test \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) then why do u need our help?
i dont need help, I am challenging yall
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd i dont need help, I am challenging yall \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) this site is for helping people with homework, not challenging us xD
oh
well then dont answer
smh, lets start with Part A, what do u think the y-intercept is?
(0,3.5)
Correct, what do u think it represents-?
where the line of best fit starts
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd where the line of best fit starts \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) good try but no.. here's a hint With ____ number of matches won, the students had ____ months of practice.
oh im dumb lol
what do u think u should put?
x
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd (0,3.5) \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) use these numbers to fill in the blanks
oh
With 3.5 number of matches won, the students had 0 months of practice.
yessss
Yep!
Part b now, so first.. do u know how to do slope?
y2-y1/x2-x1
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd y2-y1/x2-x1 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yes so choose 2 points from the graph... (2,8) and (5,12) can work
ok so (2,8) and (5,12)
My mistake, for Part A, its would be with 0 months of practice the students won 3.5 matches.
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd ok so (2,8) and (5,12) \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yes, so now plug in the numbers from the formula
oh i had that at first then realized i dont think having that many months would leave you with 0
I haven't even been joined for 20 minutes, and you all are already helping with me so much. Thank you!
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd oh i had that at first then realized i dont think having that many months would leave you with 0 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yea, my bad-
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Trickjoker I haven't even been joined for 20 minutes, and you all are already helping with me so much. Thank you! \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) np, and welcome to qc!
no its my fault to
its ok, lets get back on track.. plug in the numbers from the formula
Part A: (0,3.5) With 0 matches won students would have 3.5 months of practice. Part B: y = (7/4)x13+3 That is what I have
sorry for trying to trick you lol
saying for a challenge
trickjokering you
ah ok, I think you are correct, y = 7/4(13) + 3
i see that took a while, do you just type slower then others?
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd i see that took a while, do you just type slower then others? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) no lol I had to rethink and redo the problem to make sure I was correct
oh
yea
You can close this since you got ur answer! :D
@carmelle Ok thx but how?
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd @carmelle Ok thx but how? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) by pressing the close button
it isnt working
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd it isnt working \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) oh :/
is this a normal problem?
Yeah.
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd is this a normal problem? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) no, its not, try reloading
still hasnt worked @carmelle
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd still hasnt worked @carmelle \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) oof
just tag a mod they should be able to close it for you or report
ok, @Angle can u close this please?
idk any mods
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd idk any mods \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) someone closed it so dont worry
oh its already closed
