Last year at a certain high school, there were 100 boys on the honor roll and 50 girls on the honor roll. This year, the number of boys on the honor roll increased by 20% and the number of girls on the honor roll increased by 18%. By what percentage did the total number of students on the honor roll increase? Round your answer to the nearest tenth (if necessary).
@dude
19.3%
lol
So 1.2 * 100 = 120 and 1.18 * 50 = 59 120 + 59 = 179 originally we had 100 + 50 = 150 % increase = (179-150)/150 * 100% = 19.3% so good job!!
