ok if 3x3= 9 what time 9 = 27

crispyrat:

so prime factorazation is reducing a number to only prime numbers, for example 20=2*2*5 so what would that be with 27?

3•3=9 and 3•?=27

@xxdeppressionxx wrote:
9+9+9=?

crispyrat:

so first you can elimate C cus 9 isnt prime, then go through each one and see which is equal to 27 by multiplying

TETSXPREME:

seems confusing

xxDeppressionxx:

9+9=?

xxDeppressionxx:

then do that plus 9

TETSXPREME:

18

TETSXPREME:

27

correct

27
so it would be c

crispyrat:

nvm sorry

xxDeppressionxx:

@xxdeppressionxx wrote:
so first you would do 9+9+9=? (27) then you would look at the three and you would say 3•9=? (27)

xxDeppressionxx:

so 3•9=27 is your prime factor

KingPizza:

3*9=27 is two numbers and is not the right answer because it should all be multiplying only one number to equal 27 so we can eliminate B, plus 9 is not prime

KingPizza:

a prime number is more than 1 and can't have a number greater than 1 or itself that can multiply to equal that number, so use that information to decide if 2 and 3 are prime numbers

crispyrat:

yes what kingpizzasaid 9 isnot prime but if you split 9 down to prime numbers and multiply that with 3 u get ur answer

KingPizza:

yeah so in this case it's all 3's, and D would be eliminated too since 2 cannot be part of the equation with the two other 3's

KingPizza:

so now we're left with A and C

KingPizza:

which one do you think it is? A or C

TETSXPREME:

c

KingPizza:

yes because in A, 3*3*3*3 would be 81 and there's an extra 3, so C would have to be the answer

shybrenawalker:

if 3x3= 9 what time 9 = 27
