How do I solve??? 2x+5+8x=22
I got this one! It will be step by step though.
first you have to combine the like terms which are 2x and 8x

the like terms are 2x and 8x so we would move 2x and 8x next to each other so that they can be combined so, we would have 2x+8x+5=22, and 2x+8x=10x so now we have 10x+5=22 then we change the plus to a minus in `+5` so that itโs not โ5 and subtract 5 from both sides of the equation 22-5=17 so we would have 10x-17 then divide both sides by 10 \(\cancel{\frac{10x}{10}}-\frac{17}{10}\) (10x/10 cancels) then all thatโs left is 17/10, so x=17/10
