Oliv:

A car picking up speed at a uniform rate from rest passes three VECO posts in succession. The posts are 91 meters apart along the road. The car takes 10 seconds from the first to the second post, and 6 seconds from the second to the third post. Calculate: the acceleration of the car the distance from the starting point of the car to the first post the car’s velocity at each post.

jhonyy9:

@kittybasil if this given : The posts are 91 meters apart along the road - so this dont mean the distance till the first post - how you wrote in your above answer - and bc. the second question ask to find the distance till the first post yes ?

kittybasil:

I will answer here instead of the other one to avoid mess Firstly let us establish what we need to find 1. car's acceleration* 2. distance from car's starting point (t=0) to first post 3. car's velocity at post 1 and post 2 (each) *I have a question, is the acceleration over the entire scenario or a specific part of this situation?

jhonyy9:

1. i think entire scenario

jhonyy9:

91 m is the total distance just in this way make sense the second question about the distance between the first and second posts

kittybasil:

Here is my full answer to the question At the time of posting this I am not done with part two, but I will get to working on it soon
