Alex1513:

Jonny is writing a program for a video game. For one part of the game he uses the rule given below to move objects on the screen. Showing all your work, give the output that the rule gives for the inputs. (x, y)→(x−7.5, y+6.8) First input: (5.3, 2.7) Second input: (9.4, -3.9)

Alex1513:

heeeelp

Alex1513:

is someone going to help

xxDeppressionxx:

Ok ill help you but you need to help me when i ask you a question ok.

Alex1513:

ok

xxDeppressionxx:

So what i the problem?

Alex1513:

idk read the question

Alex1513:

can some one help plz

Vocaloid:

this is the rule they give you: (x, y)→(x−7.5, y+6.8) this means take the x-coordinate, subtract 7.5 also, take the y-coordinate and add 6.8 I'll show you how to do the first input, and let you try the second input on your own First input: (5.3, 2.7) x-coordinate is 5.3 ---> subtract 7.5 ---> 5.3 - 7.5 = ? y-coordinate is 2.7 ---> add 6.8 ----> 2.7 + 6.8 = ? calculate. then repeat with the second input

Alex1513:

for x is -2.2 and y is 9.5

Vocaloid:

good, that's the output for the first input can you try with the second input now?

Alex1513:

ok let me try

Vocaloid:

having some trouble? the second input is (9.4, -3.9) our rule: (x, y)→(x−7.5, y+6.8). subtract 7.5 from x. add 6.8 to y. so we have: x: 9.4 - 7.5 = ? y: -3.9 + 6.8 = ?

Alex1513:

yea that want im doing

Alex1513:

ok x is 1.9 and y is 2.9

Vocaloid:

good, so (1.9,2.9) is the output for the second input

Alex1513:

ok thx u so much
