BabySmooveRae:

75

TETSXPREME:

Lura:

Tet,use the constant of proportionality.Do Y divided by X and figure out what speed the train will go at. Hint:If it goes through the origin,it is proportional

Lura:

If you don't know what the constant of proportionality is,I can explain that to you.

Shadow:

@tetsxpreme Do you still need help?

TETSXPREME:

Yeah

Shadow:

\[Speed = \frac{ Distance }{ Time }\]

Shadow:

It looks like Distance is the y-axis (vertical, up n down), and Time is the x-axis (horizontal, left and right).

Shadow:

Just take the a point along that graph and do the division, a given distance and given time

TETSXPREME:

Division? idk how that has anything to do with it, What do i divide?

TETSXPREME:

distance and time?

Shadow:

Well look at the first hour. In one hour the train travels 150km, so you just do 150km (distance) divided by 1 hour (time), and you get a speed of 150km per hour, or 150 km/h

Shadow:

All you need to do is take a point on the second slope / line, and do the same division

Shadow:

Does that make sense?

TETSXPREME:

Oh my mom told me this stuff but she made it a bit confusing

TETSXPREME:

i have notes she wrote but its very confusing

Shadow:

You basically just need a coordinate on the second line. So where a number from the x-axis and y axis on the graph intersect on the line.

Shadow:

This is all I did

TETSXPREME:

but it would be like 225

TETSXPREME:

it saids 2

Shadow:

can you show your math

TETSXPREME:

hours

TETSXPREME:

alright hold

Shadow:

I would just use 3, 2 hour one looks sus

Shadow:

If they wanted you to look at 25distance increments, I think they would've listed it, esp since this graph looks weird.

TETSXPREME:

how did you make a so straight line? also so i divide something?

Shadow:

Refer to my speed equation, speed = distance / time

Shadow:

take the distance then divide it by time

TETSXPREME:

225/2?

Shadow:

Tet use the line I drew, the 2hour one looks weird

Shadow:

The 3hour one looks clean

TETSXPREME:

so divide 300/3?

Shadow:

yes

TETSXPREME:

That would be 100

Shadow:

yes

TETSXPREME:

ohhh thank youu
