Astrid1:

I need help creating a character in romeo and Juliet. Basically, I have to create a character who views the fight ( in act 3 scene 1) in Romeo and Juliet. If it's accessible, I'll add the information on it down below.

Astrid1:

I already have my reasons on everything. Give me a second to attach what I have so far.

brandon34:

is this your homework

Astrid1:

It's a homework website. Of course it's her homework.

brandon34:

do i care

Astrid1:

I made a post about this a few weeks ago, but I hadn't known much about it at the moment.

If you don't care, please leave and just ignore it. I need help, not you.

Joe348:

How about their parents for both Juliet and Romeo?

Joe348:

I believed they both disapproved of them being together?

Astrid1:

Well, it actually has to be someone who sees's the fight from apart. If you read either one of the things I had uploaded first, you would know lolz.

Astrid1:

*afar Stupid autocorrect.

Sailor:

So, maybe like a civilian or a knight?

Astrid1:

A civilian, yes.

Sailor:

Ok.

Astrid1:

I have to create a whole character profile including their background information such as the civilians parent's jobs.

Sailor:

So considering that this takes place during medieval times, maybe the father could be a blacksmith?

Astrid1:

I was thinking maybe the father could be a butcher.

Astrid1:

And the mother a grocer.

Sailor:

@astrid1 wrote:

That works too.

Astrid1:

Okay.

Astrid1:

Now we have to create the civilians age, name, his job and why he saw the fight.

Astrid1:

I'm thinking 27, what should the name be.

Sailor:

So maybe when it comes down to why he saw the fight, you could do something like the civilian possibly passing by?

Astrid1:

Yeah, he was going to take out the trash? Did they do that in medieval times?

Sailor:

@astrid1 wrote:

Considering that the civilian is a guy, you could do a name like Percival.

Astrid1:

Hm okay.

Astrid1:

What should his job be?

Astrid1:

Florist?

Astrid1:

@sailor u still here lolz?

Sailor:

@astrid1 wrote:

Sorry I was afk lol.

Sailor:

@astrid1 wrote:
Florist?
That's a good idea.

Astrid1:

Thats ight.

Astrid1:

What should his last name be?

Sailor:

Maybe Fletcher or Foreman?

Astrid1:

Foreman is probably best.

Sailor:

@astrid1 wrote:
Foreman is probably best.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Astrid1:

Okay, so this is our character. Name: Percival Foreman Age: 27 Profession: Florist Father: Age: 48 Profession: Butcher Mother: Age: 42 Profession: Grocer. Civilians' reason for seeing the fight- Went to take out the garbage and saw a fight down the alleyway.

Sailor:

It seems great so far.

Astrid1:

Okay, now it's time to summarize the fight. Have you read romeo and juliet before?

Sailor:

Not yet but I have a general idea according to the stuff you posted first.

Astrid1:

Mkay, well if you read this from when romeo joins and then the fight ends then you'll know. https://www.sparknotes.com/nofear/shakespeare/romeojuliet/act-3-scene-1/

Astrid1:

I've got the qoutes to backup my statement already

Sailor:

Ok.

Astrid1:

Okay so, Romeo is in love, I think he was going to get married if I remember, and Tybalt is his to-be wife's brother, Tybalt doesn't know yet. And that is why Romeo didn't hurt Tybalt.

Astrid1:

And that is why romeo says, " I can tell that you don't know who I am."

Sailor:

Alright.

Hobo2004:

who's perspective is this?

Astrid1:

And as the fight escalates, Romeo is continuously trying to stop the fight only with his words.

Astrid1:

@hobo2004 wrote:

Mine and also my civilians perspective.

creative

Astrid1:

And as Romeo goes in to stop the fight, Tybalt reaches under Romeo and stabs Mercutio.

Astrid1:

Romeo was really only trying to stop the fight because he didn't want to harm Tybalt and he also didn't want to get caught while the fight was going on or there would be severe consequences.

Astrid1:

Mercutio thinks that it's romeo's fault that he got stabbed, while it wasn't and romeo is deemed innocent.

Astrid1:

Romeo is thinking that his wife (tybalt's sister) is the reason as to why romeo is so soft hearted.

Astrid1:

And then, Tybalt enters once again, and Romeo throws a fit blaming Tybalt for why Mercutio is dead, and so he plants revenge. Gets into a fight with Tybalt, and then kills Tybalt.

TETSXPREME:

what kind of name is tybalt

Astrid1:

And Benvolio, tell's the prince who had killed Tybalt because of Mercutio. Benvolio then explains the whole situation and how it started. And that is how Romeo got kicked from verona.

Astrid1:

@tetsxpreme wrote:

Remember, dude it's medieval times.

Astrid1:

And concluding my summary, I think that Romeo is not guilty for he was only taking revenge.

Astrid1:

Now I need help with the counterargument.

Timmyspu:

Alright I am good with my English stuff. So what you all took you have to go all against it, So what are some reasons for thinking the opposite? For example if I was talking about Jolly Ranchers and how I really liked them. For a opposite I would say something like this~ Jolly Ranchers are so sugary. They also stick to your teeth a lot and it talks a while to make the candy small enough to swallow it. Also if you eat too many of them they will give you cavity's in your teeth. Do something like that opposing your side and try to think about why other people might think opposite of you.

Timmyspu:

So the reasoning for every one of your reasoning in each of your body paragraphs you have to counter it with a opposing reason for why you would go against it.

Astrid1:

I think they might think that he's guilty of his crimes because he killed Tybalt. But as much as Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo shouldn't take up the consequences for both. I do agree, Romeo shouldn't have gone as far as to kill Tybalt, but, Tybalt did deserve it.

Timmyspu:

Nice. I think that is pretty good. One thing is do not start a sentence with But replace it with although, ... You get what I am saying?

Astrid1:

Yes.

Astrid1:

Blegh I'm stuck on the address of my character.

Astrid1:

I don't know what I should label as his address.

Timmyspu:

You need a street address?

Astrid1:

Yes, for the prince and for my civilian.

Timmyspu:

Does the book mention any street addresses? If not, then look up on google some street names around this time period.

Timmyspu:

From the book*

Astrid1:

No there are no addresses as far as I can remember. I just searched up on google and found two street names that I am going to use.

Astrid1:

Thank you all for helping me with my assignment. I can finally breathe again, wooo.

Timmyspu:

You are welcome. I am glad to help you Astrid. I hope you get a good grade on your assignment.

Astrid1:

I hope so too, thanks again.

Timmyspu:

Your welcome!
