Okay so I finished an example and if you choose to use this, you will have to find three images to go along with it though.
An example:
Topic: How to survive an earthquake
Intro paragraph:
It’s a very good idea to know how to survive an earthquake, just in case you happen to be in one. Earthquakes can be very scary and can happen in all sorts of places. Earthquakes are one of the most dangerous natural disasters. They could be close to where you live now or further away. Earthquakes are formed mainly in the water. And Earthquakes can kill thousands of people, and you do not want to be part of it. Plus surviving an earthquake and living to tell the story, would be an interesting story to tell people. Surviving an earthquake is a good way to stay alive and warn others.
Body Paragraphs:
Earthquakes are scary and you have a right to be afraid of them. It is good to know where they are though. Earthquakes are common around the rim of the Pacific Ocean. Which in the United States are more common around the edge of California, along the South of Alaska and in the middle of the mid-east, and on the big island of Hawaii. Now this may be obvious or some of you may not know this but Antarctica actually has the least amount of earthquakes. Some of you may think that since Antarctica is just a continent full of frozen water and it’s so cold there, but that’s exactly why earthquakes don’t happen there because it’s just frozen ice and not many people can be on Antarica without dying or hypothermia or frostbite.
Earthquakes are quite dangerous and how they are made may be interesting and good for you to know. Earthquakes are formed when the tectonic plates move too slowly but get stuck at the end due to friction. When the stress on the edge overcomes friction, there is an earthquake that releases energy in waves that travel through the earth’s crust and cause the shaking you know. It is possible to survive an earthquake because it usually only last about 10 to 30 seconds, but those seconds can be the scariest seconds of your life.
An earthquake can nearly kill around 1 million people. The highest death toll of one of the deadliest earthquakes killed around 830,000 people. It was a category eight earthquake and that was in 1556. The number of deaths that an earthquake in the twentieth century killed was around 316,000 people. And that one was a category seven earthquake. Now on how to survive an earthquake. You would want to go to an open area away from trees, telephone poles, and buildings. Once in the open, get down low and stay there until the shaking stops. The area near the outside walls of a building is the most dangerous place to be. Windows, facades, and architectural details are often the first parts of the building to collapse. But if you are inside a building get down on your knees and cover your hand and neck with your hands.
Conclusion paragraph:
Surviving an earthquake is simple, but it will be terrifying. You just need to keep yourself safe and you can grab anyone beside you and protect them too. Anyone you protect is good because it means you prevented death. Knowing how to survive an earthquake and what causes earthquakes are great knowledge that can help you and others. You will also be able to tell this story to future people or your children, to help and protect them. In the end, knowing you changed and saved a life is a great thing that everyone should feel.
Good luck and I hope you get your assignment completed with a good grade.
