PureSoulless:

Explain: "Passive" and "Active" Memories

qiqi:

hmm I would say active can be referred to as the short term memory while the passive is in the long term? so basically, active is when we trying to recall something (like experiences) that is required. For example, right now with your question, I am using my active memory to think of how I'll answer this based on what I know atm. While the passive one, I can also relate it to the long term memory which has something to do with our previous experiences that automatically comes to our mind without that much effort. For example, meeting with a person that you know, you already know their name and face.
