gdubb08:

How do our body parts go numb?

WildCardKing:

it happens because the nerves get pressed or blood flow is cut off, and that stop the signals from reaching our brain. and so if it keeps on happening then it is a nerve issue

i mean yes because the dentist use a local anesthetic to numb your gums and it is not cutting their blood flow it is numbing the nerve signals so that way you don't feel the pain but yeah blows still flows normally

ecrawley:

Numbness is caused by damage, irritation or compression of nerves. A single nerve branch or several nerves may be affected. Examples include a slipped disk in the back or carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist.
