What do you want to study in CS?

which is the best book to study programming languages - c, c++?
Programming in visual effects.
akpellet.singla -- ideally you should post your questions in the textbox on the left. That said, C/C++ have a ton of different books, and it depends on the depth you want. Bjarne Stroustrup (the creator of C++) has a book called The C++ Programming Language. I originally started learning using C++ for Dummies. The important thing is that you go beyond the steps the book gives you and write your own programs so you can get a better understanding on your own. @igor -- Unfortunately, I don't have much experience in the visual effects world. All I know is, there's usually a lot of math involved. Sorry I can't be of more use!
