OpenStudy (megan):

how do you simplify sectheta/csctheta

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

So sec is 1/cos, csc is 1/sin. So you have: \[\frac{\sec \theta}{\csc \theta} = \frac{\frac{1}{\cos \theta}}{\frac{1}{\sin \theta}}\] If we combine those fractions properly: \[\frac{\sin \theta}{\cos \theta}\] Does that look like a function you know?
