Do you know any calculus? :D

a little

Are you supposed to use calculus to figure out the problem? If so, it's a lot less tedious.

i dont know

Based on the intercepts, you know your equation factors down into (x-3)(x-7). Multiplying it out gives x^2 - 10x + 21. Your parabola also has a minimum at halfway between your intercepts, by reflection, at x = 5. Plugging in 5 above gives -4, but we want -2, so we can multiply the equation by 1/2. y = (1/2)*(x^2 - 10x + 21)
