I have a question that wants me to find the domain. It says what is the domain of x=-y^2. Anyone help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is the set of values that the input(s) of your function come from to which there's a corresponding output. Basically, you look at where a function has no solution or you're doing something against math laws, so in this case, when you solve for y, you find that you have to have a negative x so you're not taking the square root of a negative number. Thus, your domain is all x less than or equal to 0.
