The equation V=-3000 +21000 can be used to find the value V of a car at the end of t years. 1.What is the value of the car at the end of 5 year? 2. In how many years is the car worth 12,000? 3. Is it true that the car will be worth $200 after 7 years? 4. How much did the car originally cost?

where is t in the equation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3000t type there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

typo!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you plug in the value of t in the equation... and you will get the value (V) of the car. thus...\[V= -3000*5+21000=(21-3)*1000=18 000$\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oups... no no its 21-15= 6 000 $

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a matter of plugging in the number in the equation and you will get the answer for each question. have fun and fan me if you understood

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so when I do the second problem do I plug in the 12,000 to the t?
