simplify: X/4 - 1/x divided by 1/2x + 1/4
is it 1/(2x) or (1/2)*x, i mean is x in denominator?
the / stands for division it is the first two fractions subtracted and then divided by the next two fractions which are being added do yuo understand?
No I know, but im only interested in 1/2x, is it 1/(2x) or (1/2)x? they mean different things, first case is x in denominator, and second x is in numerator
its 1 divided by 2x
k
[ (x^2-4)/(4x) ] / [ (4+2x) / (8x) ]
so what would u be multiplying everyhting by then?
rite now im dividin everything..
= [ (x^2 - 4) /4x ] * [ 8x / (4+2x) ]
now to divide by a fraction, flip it over and multiply by it instead
i just learned differently thats why..we multiplied by common denominator
oh i dunno that's how im used to doin it.. i wasnt born in us
So cancel 4x and you will have 2 left instead of 2x, see that?
yes as a final answer i got x-2 is that correct?
lemme check.. im workin on two problems rite now lol
okk
yup ur right!
okk thankkss!
