2x - y = 7 4x + y = -14 x - y = 4 x + 2y = 11 3x = y 2x - 2y = 8 SHOW WORK PLEASE AND THANK YOU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) multiply 1 by 2 and add both equations.... x = 5, y = 3 2) put the value of y on first equation, x = -2, y = -6 3) infinite solutions..... such that x=4,y=0, x= 5, y=1 and so on......

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHATS THE LAST ANSWER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually both equations are same .......... so x -y = 4 any value of x and y where x is greater than y by 4....... will satisfy the equation.........

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here there would be infinite solutions........
