I had to take measurements and they are as follows. 45 degress at 32 meters and 7.5 meters from the distance of where I was standing to what i was measuring. How do I set up this equation using sine?
I'm confused, you're saying that the length of your hypotenuse is 32?
That is what I am trying to figure out. These are measurements I had to take in a field method class.
With those numbers I am trying to acquire a height of the object being mesured
Until I know whether 32 is either your hypotenuse or your y value, I can't help you. ... Okay then, so 32 is your hypotenuse.

Basically SOH CAH TOA tells you which trig function to use when you are given an angle and two sides. O = Opposite A = Adjacent H = Hypotenuse S = Sine C = Cosine T = Tangent When you're given the Opposite side (in relation to the angle) and the hypotenuse, you use Sine (SOH) The same pattern follows for the rest of SOH CAH TOA
So in your problem, which sides are you given?
