so, what kind of problem is this called, and how does one solve it.. x/3 is less than or equal to 2 (its not in word form) I know I'm solving for x.. but after that i'm lost
assume the less than or equal sign is an equal sign then solve as normal. Remember when u divide the the sign changes the opposite sign
So I need to multiply 3 and x/3 to get it to the other side, then also multiply 2 and three.. so x is equal to or greter than 6? Where does the negative come in?

Yes, you only have to worry about negatives if say the problem was \[3x \le2\] where you would divide by three, and the less than or equal symbol would switch to greater than or equal to. Also, when you switch from negative values on one side to positve, you also switch the inequality sign
