does anyone know hot to calculate vertical and horizontal asymptotes?
the asymptote is very easy to figure acute. there's no need for a specific calculation. When you plug in a limit in a graphing calculator, do you notice that the function doesn't increase anymore at a certain point? here, ill give you an example, if you have a graphing calculator.
the asymptote is very easy to figure out*
vertical asymptotes are values x=c such that lim(x appr. c) f(x) = +- infinity
great and helpful website that explains vertical asymptote easily
and here's the same website explaining horizontal asymptote : http://www.purplemath.com/modules/asymtote2.htm
horizontal asymptoes are values y=L such that lim(x approaches +- infinity) = L
thank you so much for those websites, very helpful!
no problem :DD
