any help at all
hey, how's it going?
nahhhhh
hey bobeuclid can you help
with?
independent and dependent probabilities
do you have a specific question?
yea 5 of them
roberto rolls two six-sided cubes at the same time find the probability that the sum of the two digits is a mutiple of 3
i'm not sure if there's a better way of doing that then just listing all the possibilities and counting how many are multiples of 3
with 6 numbers on each die, there are 6*6 = 36 possibilities, but you have to make sure you count 1,2 and 2,1 as two different possibilities
you could also do something like this.. if the first die is 1, then the next could be 2 or 5. so (probability the first die is 1)(probability the 2nd is 2 or 5) = (1/6)*(2/6)= 2/36
k a bag contains 3 blue marbles and 5 red marbles samuel chosses a marble at random th with out replacing the marble he chosses another random what is the probability that he chose 2 red marbles and i have to enter it as a fraction
