I am helping a special needs student with Math. How do we complete the problem 3X + 2y =8 the slope and intercept form please
Was my original answer not good enough for you?
My computer shut down and I had to reset it. Sorry The school has slow computers and it annoys me
How do we solve for Y?
isolate it by getting everything off the side with y. So first, subtract 3x
then divide by 2
You have to do that to both sides and you'll get y=something
what snooozzzzze said
my studen got y=8-3x over 2..what does she do with that?
You don't have to keep saying your student. Clearly you need help with this too. But anyway, what's the coefficient on the x?
I am an aide at the school and I do not know how to do the math. I want to help her. Thanks
a 3
She says she has to graph it, can yo show that?
oops meant you, not yo
Why are you an aide if you don't know how to help the students? The coefficient is not actually a 3, because if you divide everything by 2, you actually get: y=4-3x/2 so the coefficient is 3/2 not 3
The best way to graph it is by choosing a value for x, and solving to see what y is and plotting a point there. This graph is a line, so if you choose x=1,2,3,4,5,etc. it should come out to be a straight line.
Okay. Thank you
WHat is the slope intercept form for this problem?
