Solve this like you would any other equations, except there are three "sides." When you subtract 6, you need to doit to all three. \[-2 < -5x + 6 \le12\] \[-8<-5x \le6\] \[8/5 > x \ge-3/4\] (Remember to switch those signs when you divide by a negative). Answer: \[-3/4 \le x<8/5\] I hope all you needed was for me to solve it....

Okay, that's easy. [-3/4, 8/5) We put a bracket on the -3/4 because x can equal -3/4 and we put a parenthesis on the 8/5 because x can't equal 8/5.
