what is inside and outside functions?
Oh to take the derivative, you use the product rule and chain rule together. The product is composed of two parts, one is x, and the other is e^(-2x). The e^(-2x) involves a chain rule, because the inside is -2x, where the outside is e. So by taking the derivative of y with respect to x, you get \[1e ^{-2x}+xe ^{-2x}*-2\]
Let me know if this helps. If it did, then please raise my fan level. Ty
