A card is chosen at random from a deck of 52 cards . It is then replaced and a second card is chosen. What is the probability of getting a jack and then an eight?

In your case the sample space never changes bc you replace the card so in both cases of the jack and the eight you have 52 cards to choose from bc these are independent trials. P(jack)+P(eight)= P(jack and eight)...... but you have to take into account that you must get a jack and then an eight
