how do you take the derivative of an inverse trigonometric function such as arcsin(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there's a rule...the proof is messy but you use \[d/dx[\arcsin(x)] = 1/\sqrt{1-x ^{2}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you show the derivation of the proof? Also- how do you enter math symbols?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can find it in advanced calc books...i know i have a book with the proof but idk where it is right now...you can google it most likely. also, you click the button that says equation vvvvv

\[thanks :)\]
