jones, if u just want the answers , u can try http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=solve+y%3E%3D%281%2F2%29x%2B3 for now for y>=1/2x+3....but the actual procedure to solve these is to substitute the x to get y and u can try subs a few lie this, and when u finally join these points, u get a line, depending whether the inequality is > or < u can shade the graph.. is that making sense?

1) y > x + 4 Remove the > and pretend it's an = sign. Graph y = x + 4 Shade the upper region.

2) \[y \ge (1/2)x + 3\] Same steps as above Graph y = (1/2)x + 3 Shade the upper region, the line should be solid. Above it should be a dashed line
