This is like the one I did earlier for you. The goal is to get n by itself in the middle.. What number would you get rid of first in the middle?

Yes.. Sorry, I was helping someone else. So you subtract one from all three sides. 3 -1 > 1-1-n/2> -2-1 Which is 2 > -n/2 > -3 Then what would we do?

so after we subtract do we divide?? and get 'n' by itself

To get rid of the 2 on the bottom... it says /2 so we do the opposite which is multiply by 2. We will do this this way and then we will have one more step. So take all three * 2 we would get 2 * 3 > 2* -n/2 > -3 * 2 which is 6 > -n > -6 can you see that the 2 and the /2 on the bottom cancel? Let me know when you get this and then we will do one more step.

Well. yes but you still have to get rid of the - sign so you take the opposite of all three sides.. another way is to multiply all three by -1 they are both the same idea. and YES YOU FLIP THE SIGNS.. VERY GOOD so you get -6 < n < 6 You could have multiplied by -2 back in the second step and flipped the sign then because you multiplied by -2... I didn't know if you could handle that step all at once.
