How did mass transit evolve, beginning with the omni-bus?

well, yeah, I know it started with the omni-bus, the large carriages that shuffled people around to locations

You could talk about the canal. It ran through Troy and my hometown on the Hudson River.

There are also the railroad cars. Albany, NY tore up their streets to produce tracks for Ironweed.

We could go really far back and talk about merchant trade from England and the ships that sailed to Philadelphia from NY.

I only knew about the Canal because my town had one in Saratoga Co...and you didn't need to now that.
