A store sells a 9 ounce jar of mustard for $1.53 and a 15 ounce jar for $2.55. Is the cost of the mustard porportional the the number of ounces for each jar? Please explain your reasoning. Thanks:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, if you divide 9 by 1.53 and 15 by 2.55 you get the same number, therefore the price grows with the number of ounces. :/ Does that make sense?

what is the constant of porportionality?
