What are the guidelines for making a change of variables when integrating?

In a nutshell, you want to make sure that the dy is on the same side of as all of your "y" terms, and the dx is placed accordingly. You can't have dy/dx = fdsafls;dakjf.... and then say that y = integral(fdsafls;dakjf....)dx by moving over the differential.

And, if your diff. equation looks like dy/dx = 5xy+5, you keep the constant 5 on the right - in the integral with respect to x.
