I am trying to evaluate the intergral [(ax^3-bx^7)/x^(-1/2)] and I'm not given an interval. I'm asuming it is a through b. understand the process of integrals, I'm just getting caught up with the algebra......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when no limit of integration is given, that is called an indefinite integral

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does it mean to have to evaluate the intergral ????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So simplify (ax^3-bx^7)/x^(-1/2) to becomes ax^(7/2) - bx^(15/2) Integrate it will give (2/9)ax^(9/2) - (2/17)bx^(17/2) + C, where C is a constant

i got a^6 - b ^-14 ,, i simpliefied, istha evaluating the intergral,,, or what is the intergral??

Sorry, I had to go to class. Indefinite Integral, yes you are right sklee. Thank you sklee and MiL3ARN3R. I am getting a couple different answers here. I will be back online later. Thanks again.
