22r^3s^2 over 11r^2s^-3

OpenStudy (amistre64):

22 r^3 s^2 --- --- ----- subtract bottom exponents from top exponents 11 r^2 s^-3 2 r^(3-2) s^(2--3) = 2 r s^5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2 negatives makes a positive, I dont care where your at :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright lol im really really bad at algebra

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got (2r) (1/2^-5)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

mit: then you musta did something wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just divie the s over its 2s which gave me 1/2 ^5 ,do you know where I went rong

OpenStudy (amistre64):

cant say fer sure, but I got an inkling of an idea... its the "s" variables that are catching you up right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what happens when we do this: 2-(-3) = ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my bad , now I know my abc's ,, i was looking at the s^3 as 2s^3 because of 11r^2 ,

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and I think youre seeing the problem wrong; it aint 2s that we are working with.. yeah, you figured that out :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
