2x - 40 = 3y 3y = 48 - 6x Using the two equations above, solve for y. y = 4 y = 5 y = -6 y = -11

u can do this as the previous question.but, instead of substitute the y, u substitute the x to get an equation in term of y.

i tried doing it that way can u please just give me the answer becuase its stuff we havent learned yet.

the whole highschool has to do it bacuse its to get 11th graders ready for pssas and even use freshman who have no idea have to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or, u should note that both equations have 3y: therefore; 2x-40 = 48-6x solve this to get x. then substitute the x-value into any equation to get the y-value

kk ill try
