Lijun Wang and colleagues at Princeton sent a laser pulse through a gas containing cesium atoms. The light beam traveled through the cesium atoms at a speed of 9.3 × 1010 meters per second. Normally, the speed of light is 3.0 × 108 meters per second. How many times faster than normal was the speed of light in the cesium gas?

about 29 times faster

is that 9.3 x 10 to the 10 power and 3.0 x 10 to the 8 power I would say that is about 3 x 10 to the 2nd power which is 3 * 100 = 300 times faster.. Maybe I am wrong.. could be.

I would say 310 times faster...
