the GCF is found by factors, and LCM is found by listing multiples??? Am I right?

The LCM is the smallest number two or more numbers divide into evenly. It can be found by finding the prime factorization of all the numbers and noting all the different primes. When all the different primes are identified note the primes that appear most in each factorization, then multiply the noted primes together.
For example: 22 and 34 2*11 and 3*2*2*2 2 appears 3 times in 34, note that. 3 appears 1 time in 34, and 11 appears one time in 22. So multiply 2*2*2*3*11 and you have the LCM.
