need help with factoring following question. 2a^3b^3 + 10ab =
you can take 2ab as a common factor so you'll have: \[2ab(a^2b^2 + 5) = 0\] ^_^
Can you please explain. I am a sub in AEP and cannot help in this subject. This young man does not understand algebra either. He has 6 questions, would you be willing to walk him through these?
What does it mean to "factor" an equation?
alright, when it comes to factoring, it's more like to write down the expression in its most simplified form. In other words, we take out what's common from both sides. What common variables/numbers do we have here? :)
we have in the first part: \[2a^3b^3\] and in the second part : 10 ab and 10 can be written as ( 2 x 5)ab so what do we have in common in both parts? what can we pull out? ^_^
from both parts*
what do we have in common flash? :)
it means to "un"multiply really. the factors of 16 are all the numbers that multiply together to get 16. 1*16 2*8 4*4 the factors of 16 are: 1,2,4,8, and 16.
lol, I wanted to explain it in a much easier way amistre :)
sstar, youre doing great :)
thank you ^_^, flash did you get it now?
he says he still does not understand.
it would help to know what it is that he doesnt understand, ther are alot of underpinning concepts involved.
i dont understand how to work it
okay , look at this: 2(a)(a)(a)(b)(b)(b) + (2)(5)(a)(b) to factor, we need to pull out what we have in common, in this case we have 2, a and b common in both sides so we pull out : 2ab then we're left with : (a)(a)(b)(b) + (5) so we can write this down as : 2ab( a^2b^2 + 5 ) ^_^ clear?
i gotta head to class, have fun sstar :)
lol , I will GL amister ^_^
o ok i get it
yay ^_^, so if you want to check your work, you can use the distributive property and it'll get you back to the original form :)
so would a^2b^2+5 be the anwser
no you forgot the 2ab :) so the answer now is : \[2ab(a^2b^2 + 5)\] remember, we pulled out 2ab :) so it'll stay out , clear? ^_^
i feel good...
=D
o ok thank u
lol, a song just hit me when you said that.
it's a pleasure flash ^_^ good luck!
are you saying that you are feeling good andy? or are you singing? ^_^
-30x^2y^2-12xy^2
both
*dancing* *singing* *happy*
my papper is due n 7 min can u giveme the anwsers
One factor is 6
What additional factors can you extract from the two terms \[6___(-5x ^{2}y ^{2}-2xy ^{2})\]
lol andy, you deserve to be so, we all do :)
6xy^2(-5x-2)
thank u 5cx^2+10c^2x-15c^3
angoo, now to come to think of it, you're doing 3 things and not 2 LOL =D
5c(x^2+2cx-3c^2)
If you wait this long to do your work, you need to change that handle Flash!lol
awsome 36a^2b^3c^2-48ab^4c^3+60a^3b^2c
12ab^2c(3abc-4b^2c^2+5a^2)
thank u 35m^6n^3-49m^3n^4+7m^3n^4
7m^3n^3(5m^3-7n+n)
Sorry but I got to go to insurance office.
awsome 33x^2y^4z+55xy^2z^5=66x^6yz^3
Good luck....will take one more if you have any more. I hope you are reviewing the answers.
33x^2y^4z+55xy^2z^5=66x^6yz^3
11xyz(3xy^3+5yz^4-6x^5z^2) Good luck and catch you later.
