derivative of 5/(2x-3)^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it's in a fraction form you can take the following: u = 5 u' = 0 v = (2x-3)^4 v' = (4)(2)(2x-3)^3 now substitute all of them in the general formula of the derivative which is : \[= (u'v - uv')/v^2\] give it a try ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you believe it? I knew how to do this 4 days ago but now I forgot the rules!!! Something is wrong with my mind, I think I am learning too many things at the same time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's why I told you to take it easy. Take a break now andy, so that your brain rests. ^_^ and after that, you can revise the formulas and questions to refresh your information :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok buddy, I will do that now (btw, for the past week I only slept afew hours a day and never went to sleep before midnight)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

....seriously, If I were there right now, I'm sorry but I would've slapped you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't worry about time! Consider time as your friend, organize yourself and sleep atleast 7 hours.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

many ppl have tried to slap me, but unfortunatelly all of their efforts were stopped before they even knew it =D LOL I know about time, but life is so short and there are so many things to learn and do :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

life is too short, so value the moments and time you spend in it! Oh believe me, I'll try every way to get you down.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:O You will try every way to GET ME DOWN? =D *wondering*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh you have no idea. Yes I can be nice, sweet and gentle, but when I HAVE to, I get quite the opposite.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only when I really have to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will tell you one of the martial secrets: -Calm and focused mind is stronger than a warriors sword

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so so far I have (0(2x-3)^4)-(5)(4)(2)(2x-3)^3, do I multiply the (5)(4)(2) by the (2x-3)^3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry jfive for interupting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah yeah , but I just kick when I have to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait lol, didn't calculate it yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, you would like, just come at me and kick me? just like that? =D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only kick when the situation get's really delicate, if you know what I mean. Since the every man's weakness is known, but when it comes to the other normal things, like exhausting yourself and blah blah blah. I talk, again and again till you listen, if not, then I get so serious.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sicne every*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if my slap is stopped, I tackle, if my tackle is stopped, I just jump on you lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why don't you guys just pick up the phone or maybe hit up yahoo messenger? I was sort of asking for help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry! , did you substitute the given in the equation? if you did, then don't need to simplify, keep it as it is :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by the given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what I wrote in the top :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know , u u' v and v'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) nice. but if I were you, I would never use kicks UNLESS the opponent is compleately dull and slow, or is really really week, OR you are really good at them. Because the opponent can catch you leg, and then put you down, so kicking is not really effective unless you are really fast. Better use punches to the head or neck, and only use very low kicks to the knees (because once you mess up someones knee, he will go down instantly).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep I substituted all that in, I'm just having trouble with the simplifying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh don't worry, I'm a pro at kicking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no need to simplify, you can keep it as it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what my teachers used to say ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

been kicking all my life

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well , almost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm getting -40(2x-3)^3/2x-3 to the whatever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, to the 2, but what happened to the other part in the top? u'v?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a difference between kicking, and kicking correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I don't care, as long as I get out of the hideous situation. If my kick fails, I can think of something else .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the derivative of u is zero so wouldn't that just equal zero when multiplied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, right forgot ^^" so your answer is correct ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright now, the denominator squared, my algebra-fu is weak, would that be (2x-3)^8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's alright, practice makes perfect. Just practice and you'll get alot better ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in real life situation, I would recoment groin kicks (if you are far enough) or groin knee kicks (if you are close). Also biting, screaming loud (affects the opponent psychologicaly) and eye gouging can be lifesavers too. Once the oponent is full of pain, you can finish the deal with a double spining hook kick.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah the end of the semester is upon me so not much time to practice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

practice DOES NOT make perfect, PERFECT practice makes PERFECT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't scream, but i do bite if the kick doesn't work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=D ancient knowledge of martial artists

OpenStudy (anonymous):

practice makes perfect because the more you practice the more you are getting closer to perfection andy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, and I can prove my point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all ears

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, wait I got wat you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but same thing, arg>_< LOL!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets say a teenager wants to become a basketball star, then he is training every day, for 5 hours a day, and putting ALL his efforts into it. However, he does not have anyone to teach him the right throwing technique and strategies. The longer he trains the more his nervous and actuation systems get used to the teqniques he uses (even though they are not right or effective) and he also creates his own strategies for playing. He never trains with a full team as he does not have enough friends who would train with him. His team-skills are very low. After he finishes high school, do you think his efforts and hard work and LOTS of practice will give him perfect basketball skills? do you think he will be able to play in a team as well as the other student who used PERFECT practice with an experienced trainer? this is why I say that practice is not enough, we need to practice proparly in the perfect way in order to develop a perfect skill.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you get my idea. This is just one scenario out of billions, or should I say infinity..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I do :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow, you are typing alot =D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am? ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh nvm ^_^" got what you mean now, nothing else to say lol
