ok so there are 12 and umm is that white line just to show were the border is?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah i had to draw it so you can see it wasnt together
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok so half of 12 is 6 right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so it can't be the 50%
OpenStudy (anonymous):
if you double the 1/3% then it's 2/6 and that's less than half

yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so it has to be 2/3% because that's the only one left
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but that isnt one of the multiple choices
OpenStudy (anonymous):
b? it says 41 2/3%
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but how do you get 43

i mean 41
OpenStudy (anonymous):
aren't the options, 3 1/3%
41 2/3%
50%
58 1/3%
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Arada you don't work out this sort of question by eliminating options.... You say 5/12 = 0.41666666...... = 41 + 2/3 ..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
41+2/3% *

OpenStudy (anonymous):
I just told you the answer to this question...
There are 12 squares. 5 are shaded. 5/12 = 0.4166666 = 41+2/3%
OpenStudy (anonymous):
can i ask a question Newton? why did you do 5/12? the shaded area is 7 squares so wouldn't it be 7/12?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
there are 7 shaded
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hahah you got it wrong! you are not always right then
