Electric field inside a charged CONDUCTOR always HAS to be ZERO. So, there will be charges induced on the inside surface of the conductor i.e. These charges will be taken from the surface of the charged conductor itself. Watch the course videos (Prof. Walter Lewin - 8.02). Explains very well.
