How do you find the measure of a angle?
use a protractor:):)
I dont have one. Is that the only way?
Protractor is a 'D' like scale thing used to measure the angle..seen it anywhere??
didnt u ever see one melissa??
Yes, I just don't have one at home with me, and I'm trying to complete my work assignment.
My assignment is to find find the measure for angles 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.In the figure below
ohh:( wheres the figure???
its below you lol
Sorry, I will send attach in one sec:)
i think I became a pro at reimann sums last night...
You can also draw a right triangle, measure the sides and the angle can be derived from sin-1(x/y)
what do you know about right triangles? or triangles in general.... their angles all add up to what number?
okay, let me tell u one thing, the sum of angles inside a triangle=180 degrees... and the angle 'j' is a 90 degree means a verical(right angle)
so 90+65+F=180 and now u can find out the angle F which is nothing but 25degrees
and angle E is 45+25+E=180 => 110 degrees
ok, so is <1=65
and u see that line DE is parallel to the ray passing through j, so diagonally opposite angles are same i.e. angle DJH=65degrees
no no angle1=F=25degree
Ok, I will study your previous notes and hopefully understand angles. Thanks so much for your help. Geometry is new to me and i'm totally confused
1=25deg 2=115 4=65 3=65 5=50 degrees
You 're welcome Melissa, plz do get back if u still have doubts:):)
hmmm not bad...
WOW, Thanks I think I actually understand now:)... Weird; because math is soooooo hard for me. Hopefully I pass the test Monday
trust me this aint math.... its pictures lol
Thinker you rock!!!
ok, Thanks Amistre64. You got jokes but I have tears... Have a nice day
The answer to this question really depends on what level of math you are trying to use as well as what information is given.
Tell me why angle 4 does not equal angle 5 as they are vertical angles/
I would double check believe Angle 4 = Angle 5 =50 degrees. Angle 1 = 25 dcegrees, angle 2 = 115 Degrees, angle 3 = 65 degrees.
Will someone else wade in on this and verify?
Radar your answers appear to be correctly deduced.
I was hoping for a correct dedoosing lol
Thanks mycoalson
i guess the only way is to use a use a protractor:):) if not i have no clue at all.lol
That would work if the angles were drawn accurately!
@Radar: I've always had a problem with dooses myself. As to measuring angles, again, depends on your givens and your level of math. In the included diagram, all the givens were angles geometrical logic could be used.
