Find the coordinates of the ordered pair where the maximum value occurs for the equation P = 2x + 5y, given these constraints: http://ce.byu.edu/web/hs/ALG-055-101/Lesson3/Speedback/3.speedback-Problem20Table.jpg
byu eh......
please help me..
i will if i can.... but i gotta warn ya, i am just an idiot in disguise ;)
it looks familiar, can you give me what you think we should do with this?
alg...sounds like algebra right?
we are looking for a maximum value for the coordinates given each constraint collectively or individually?
thats all it says
these constraints give us areas of the graph, they are bounded I believe by the lines of the inequalities
do you want me to send you alink with the answer choices?
that could help me understand where to go with this yeah :)
(3, 3) (1, 5) (0, 4) (2, 3)
ok, so it is looking for a single point.... that helps. These 4 other inequalities are going to form boundaries that limit the domain and range of the original function....
I Know this is weird but if you are good at maths I would pay you $$ to finish my course. I have no idea how to do geometry and my teachers wont help me and my mom doesnt know anything aboout it either
as much as id love to take you up on that offer, I would have to respectfully decline it.
ok :(
can i finish getting help with this though?
yep.... as long as I can figure it out... I am getting a picture drawn to determine the outcomes :)
thank you, you are a very nice person
if I did it right, youre answer is (1,5)
(3,3) was out of bounds, and the highest value for the other that were in bounds was 27 as (1,5). so that is my best guess ;)
thank you so much
youre welcome, good luck with your stuff :)
hold up, let me redo some calculation there, I might be wrong....
the answer is (0,4)
