Find the coordinates of the ordered pair where the minimum value occurs for the equation l = 0.5x – 0.3y, given these constraints: on this website.... http://ce.byu.edu/web/hs/ALG-055-101/Lesson3/Speedback/3.speedback-Problem21Table.jpg

Im guessing thats an L not a 1 where l=.5x-.3y anyway the best thing to do is to graph our constraints by this i mean take each one and solve for y so it is y=mx+b form then plot the line on a graph starting at y-intercept then using slope(rise/run) to get second point. Next shade in the area bounded by the 3 lines based on the > or < of the constraints. You should get something like a triangle with vertices where the lines intercept. Next evaluate each of the three endpoints of the triangle. they should be (-3,-1), (0,-4), (6,8) plug in the x and y-values of each ordered pair into the L=.5x-.3y function whichever point yields the smallest value is your minimum. Hope this helps
