if anything, I would assume that it is asking for the domain of f(x).. but I am unclear with what you write here.
if so, the sqrt function can only have values equal to or greater then zero in it, any "x" that you use will have to be limited to values that make the expression equatl to or greater than 0.

..then we can figure out the bad "x" values by doing this: 8x +8 >=0 8x >= -8 x>= -8/8 x>= -1 the domain for f(x) is then; all values of x that are greater than or equal to -1. or written in notation: [-1,inf)
or rather, the "good" x values....
