simplify 4 over the square root of 2 plus the square root of 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the sq rt of 3 under the fraction or out beside it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

under

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then multiply by the numerator and denominator by the congugate which is sq rt 2 MINUS sq rt 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would give you 4(sq rt 2 - sq rt 3) in the numerator and (sq rt 2 + sq rt 3)(sq rt 2 - sq rt 3) in the demoninator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome. once you do that and simplify, I think you'll have to multiply by the new congugate to finish it
