determine the domain of the function g(u)=sqrt(u-1)/(u^2-2) + (u^27-u)/(u-(sqrt u+1))

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

the only restriction on the domain is when g is undefined This occurs when the denominator is 0 so set each of the 2 bottom functions equal to 0 and solve for u Then the domain is all real num except those values where g is undefined

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

did that make sense??

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

u^2 - 2 = 0 u - sqrt(u+1) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try to work it out. it does
