Please help me solve: Integral of dy / [ sqrt(y^2 + 4y) ]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know I have to use trig substitution. But I dunno with this one

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

im stuck on this one as well you can complete the square to get (y+2)^2 - 4 but thats of the form 1/sqrt(x^2 - 1) which there is no trig substitution to help us try factoring out a negative but then its still in square root sorry ??

I get it. I used \[\sec \theta\]
